community guidelines.
Ojalá is for adults, 18 and over, of every gender and orientation. We expect everyone here to read these guidelines and to keep them. Violating any of the bright-line rules below will end your account.
If you ever see something that breaks these rules, report it. Every profile has a Report flow under the ⋯ menu. We review every report, and we do not tell the person you reported that you did so.
Bright-line rules — violating any of these ends your account
These are not warnings. They are the floor.
1. You must be 18 or older.
Anyone under 18 is not allowed on Ojalá. You state your age when you create an account, and we refuse any account that reports an age under 18.
If you misrepresent your age, your account will be permanently terminated. If a minor is on the platform, report them immediately — we will preserve their account data for law enforcement.
2. No content involving minors. Period.
Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) is illegal. Every image uploaded to Ojalá is scanned against Microsoft PhotoDNA's and Thorn Safer's hash databases before it is saved. Hash matches trigger immediate account termination, account preservation for law enforcement, and a report to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) under 18 USC §2258A.
This rule covers any sexual or exploitative content involving anyone under 18 — drawings, animations, fictional characters, real photography, suggestive framing, all of it. No exceptions.
3. No prostitution. No solicitation. No commercial sex work.
Ojalá is not a marketplace. Do not advertise sexual services, solicit payment for sexual contact, or arrange transactional encounters here. The same goes for trading sexual content for money, gifts, drugs, or any other consideration.
This includes rate cards, fee-for-meet, arrangements with an explicit sexual quid-pro-quo, paid-content or cam-site solicitation, and escort directory linking. Violations result in permanent termination.
4. No non-consensual content.
Do not share, request, or possess intimate images of anyone — adult or minor — without their explicit consent for that specific share.
This covers revenge porn, screenshots of other users' photos redistributed outside the platform, intimate images stolen from social media, hidden-camera content, deepfakes, and “outing” content shared without consent. Violations result in permanent termination and, where applicable, referral to law enforcement.
5. No threats, no harassment, no hate.
This is a community. Do not threaten violence. Do not harass other users with repeated unwanted messages after they've said no. Do not attack people on the basis of who they are — race, ethnicity, national origin, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, health status, disability, religion, or any other identity.
Slurs, dehumanising language, and incitement to violence are permanent bans. Borderline cases get a temporary suspension and a clear warning.
6. No drugs.
Do not solicit, advertise, or arrange the sale of illegal drugs on Ojalá. This includes recreational drugs and the sale of prescription medication without authorisation.
Personal mentions of recreational drug use in a profile (e.g. “420 friendly”) are not the issue — commercial sale or supply is.
7. No scams. No fraud. No impersonation.
Do not impersonate another person. Do not run financial scams, romance scams, or phishing. Do not link to malware, harvesters, or fake “verification” sites that ask other users for payment information.
If your account is found to be operated by an automated system, a fake persona, or a person other than the one in your photos, it will be terminated.
Photos and display rules
Nudity and sexually explicit content are not allowed anywhere on Ojalá. This applies to your profile photos, photos shared in messages, and every other surface on which you can upload an image. The standard is the mainstream one the app stores hold us to: if a photo would be pulled down on a general-audience app, it does not belong here either.
What is not allowed
- No exposed genitals or anus.
- No sexual acts of any kind.
- No suggestive content framed as a workaround (close-up shots, partially-obscured nudity, etc.).
- No content that would be flagged on Instagram or a mainstream social platform.
- No photos of anyone other than you in your profile photos.
How it's enforced
Every photo you upload is reviewed by Amazon Rekognition before it is saved. Content that fails the moderation threshold is rejected on upload, before any other user sees it. Every image is also hashed against Microsoft PhotoDNA's and Thorn Safer's CSAM databases — matches trigger immediate ban, account preservation for law enforcement, and a report to NCMEC under 18 USC §2258A.
Photos that pass automated moderation may still be reviewed on report. If you see something that breaks these rules, report it from the profile's ⋯ menu or the photo's long-press menu.
What we do when something is reported
Every report goes to our safety team. The flow:
- Triage. A safety reviewer (human) reviews the report, the reported content, the reporter's credibility, and the reported user's history. AI agents (Amazon Bedrock + Amazon Nova) help surface relevant context and may auto-apply a short temporary suspension while the review happens — only humans can permanently ban an account.
- Decision. One of: dismiss, warn, hide the specific content, temporary suspension (24h / 7d / 30d), or permanent ban (human-approved only, with an audit log entry).
- Notification. You will not be told who reported you, but you will be told what rule was violated and what the action was. Permanent bans include the specific evidence and rule.
- Appeal. Every action is appealable through the in-app help surface or by emailing safety@ojaladating.com. We respond to every appeal.
We do not disclose the identity of reporters. Reporting is anonymous to the reported user.
Reporting categories
When you tap Report, you'll see ten reasons. Pick the closest:
- Nudity or sexual content — explicit content in any photo on the Service
- Underage user — the person appears to be under 18
- Harassment or bullying — abusive, threatening, or unwanted repeated messages
- Threats or violence — specific threats to harm
- Hate speech or discrimination — slurs or attacks based on identity
- Impersonation or fake profile — pretending to be someone else, or bot-operated
- Spam — unsolicited promotion or repetitive messages
- Scam or fraud — trying to deceive you or take your money
- Drugs or solicitation — selling drugs or commercial sexual services
- Self-harm or suicide — content about hurting themselves
Reports of CSAM are escalated immediately to NCMEC. You don't need to choose a special category — if you suspect CSAM, report under “Underage user” and our triage will route it.
Block — when reporting isn't enough
You can block any user from their profile. Blocking is symmetric: the moment you block someone, you and they disappear from each other's conversations and discovery surfaces. They cannot see your profile. You cannot see theirs.
Blocking does not require a violation — you can block anyone, any time, for any reason or none. To unblock, go to Settings → Blocked accounts.
How we keep you safe
Beyond reports and blocks, we run continuous safety infrastructure:
- CSAM hash matching on every upload. Microsoft PhotoDNA + Thorn Safer. Matches trigger ban + account preservation + NCMEC report.
- AI-assisted moderation. Amazon Rekognition reviews public photos; Amazon Nova reviews reports for triage. Humans make every permanent-ban decision.
- Location privacy. Distances are computed from a point fuzzed within a configurable radius (default 150m). Your true coordinates never reach another user's device.
- Anonymous Mode lets you use Ojalá without an account; anonymous accounts cannot post, message, or upload until upgraded.
- One-tap account deletion. Settings → Your data → Delete account. You have 48 hours to cancel via the magic link we email; after the window, a moderator reviews and approves. Once approved, your profile is removed and your photo originals are hard-deleted within 90 days. An encrypted compliance archive is retained for six years for legal-process response.

Changes
We may update these guidelines as the product evolves or as the law requires. Material changes will be announced in-app at least 14 days before they take effect, except where a shorter window is necessary to comply with the law or to protect users from imminent harm.
