How it works
Meeting someone shouldn't feel like work.
Open Ojalá and you get one person at a time, ordered by how close they actually are. Wave if you like them. Send a Flare if you really do. When it goes both ways you match, and the chat opens. That is the whole app. No games, no ranking, no shouting into an inbox that never answers.

Waves
A wave is how you say you are interested. If they wave back, you have a match and the conversation opens. If they don't, they never know you looked.
Flares stand out
For the profile you do not want to scroll past. A Flare tells someone you meant it, and it puts you in front of them instead of somewhere in the pile.
Chat once you match
Messages and photos, only with people who waved back. Nobody can slide into your chat uninvited, because there is no way in until you both said yes.
Say who you are
Man, woman, nonbinary, trans man, trans woman, genderfluid, agender or something you write yourself. Then tell us who you would like to meet.
Mutual by design
The gender filter works in both directions. Two people only see each other when each of them said yes to the other, so nobody turns up where they are not wanted.
Photo verification
A quick selfie, matched against your profile photo. Verified profiles carry a check, so people know the person in the pictures is the person they are talking to.
Distance, never an address
All anyone sees is roughly how far away you are. Your exact coordinates are never sent to another person's phone, so nobody can place you.
